SHEFFIELD FC SPORTS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY!

The Sheffield FC Sports Leadership Academy is the opportunity for 12 to 18 year olds to train to be a leader in a variety of sports and activities.
The sports and activities include: Tri-Golf, Mini Tennis, Dodgeball, Change 4 Life, Football, Boccia, Seated Volleyball, Kwik Cricket and Goalball.
Once the leaders have completed the training they are on the coaching pathway at Sheffield FC and then have the opportunity to become Sheffield FC Leadership Ambassadors where they will be able to volunteer on the Sheffield FC Junior Activity Camps and/or mentor future Sports Leaders on the next wave of Sports Leadership Training Camps.
Once agreed volunteering hours are complete and the leader becomes 16 years old, Sheffield FC will then pay for a sports level 1 qualification, which includes 1st aid and safeguarding certificates and they will be able to join the paid Sheffield FC Community Delivery Team as part of the workforce.
Easter 2023, saw 19 young people from a variety of Sheffield schools, take part across 4 days of training.
It was a great week had by all and it was fantastic to see so many smiles on faces!
