Luke Mangham celebrates opening the scoring

Sheffield FC booked a place in the next round of the FA Cup, where they will travel to Clitheroe in two weeks time, after beating an entertaining Nantwich Town side 2-1.

The hosts took the lead on 28 minutes following some good work on the left-hand side, which saw Stephen Brogan dig out a perfect cross from the by-line, with Luke Mangham on the spot to turn the ball home. Nantwich levelled matters just before the hour mark, after opening the second half on top, Byron Harrison with a lovely side-foot finish past Myles Wright to make it 1-1.

It looked like a replay was the most likely result after a tight contest, but The Dabbers shot themselves in the foot in the 76th minute after some sloppy play from Ben Garratt saw Luke Aldrich steal in, taking the ball and striking it home from an angle to restore the lead.
