Cameron Johnson made his home debut for The Club

Sheffield had the odds stacked against them early on, as midfielder Harry Mitchell picked up two yellow cards in five minutes, leaving the hosts down to 10 men after 18 minutes.

The rest of the first half was devoid of chances, with Cam Johnson for the home team, and Niall Davie for the visitors the only ones to get a shot on target.

Club went close at the start of the second half, with Rory Coleman striking the crossbar from a free-kick, whilst Johnson had a decent effort blocked by Felix Annan.

Carlton opened the scoring on 74 minutes, Niall Davie wriggling free at the edge of the area, curling an excellent shot into the corner.

The score was doubled on 82 minutes, Alex Howes showing great tenacity to get clear on the edge of the box, placing the ball home from 16 yards out.
