MATCH REPORT: OSSETT UNITED VS SHEFFIELD FC

  • 26/02/2025

Sheffield FC earned their first away point of 2025 on Saturday, as they battled out a torrid 0-0 draw against Ossett United, at a very boggy Ingfield Stadium.

It was a game where defences really were on top, and coupled with an end-to-end wind, entertainment was always going to be last on the agenda.

Chances were at a premium in the first half, the first twenty minutes neither side created anything, with Nathan Modest having the first chance on 25 minutes forcing a save from Aleks Petrovic.

The second half was more of the same, Connor Cutts hitting a strike from distance that was close, whilst a solo run from Ben Tweed the best the hosts had to offer with the ball scrambling into Mikey Roxburgh’s hands.
There was an opportunity for one final chance for the visitors as a header from Simon Jakab was put wide from close range, leaving it level and a fair result from a difficult game.
