Sheffield played West Brom in their last tie and lost 2-0 with two first half goals. Graham Abercrombie praised the team’s performance: “If it was possible, I thought we were 200% better in the second half but of course, we can only be 100% better so we were 100% better I think in our mentality and physicality.
“I thought we mentally got ourselves back in the game and we had a good chat at half time. I’m not saying that the chat did the trick because the players still have to go out there and do the work but I think we just accepted a few things and understood that the game wasn’t beyond us at 2-0.”
Wolves can win the FAWNL if they get one point from today’s fixture. Amber Hughes is on a run for the top goal scorer with 21 goals. Tammi George has 10 goals.
