Hall and Akbas Sign For The World's First
We would like to officially announce the signings of Ashton Hall and Stephen Akbas to The World’s First as we look ahead to our fixture against Marske United this weekend. Ashton is a 21 year old centre half just released by Sheffield United who started at Matlock Town as well as spent some time on loan at Guiseley. Stephen is a defensive midfielder who can also drop into defence when needed. Akbas has credibility playing for clubs like Hull City as well as Antalyaspor and Boluspor before an ACL injury sidelined him for a while.
Interim manager Jamie Yates had a few words to say about the new signings.
“Ashton Hall is someone I’ve worked with before as a youth team player, he’s an excellent lad and a very good player, I’m looking forward to seeing him in a Sheffield FC shirt.
Steve came to us through a contact of mine and has impressed in training, he’s coming back from a long-term injury but was previously pro in turkey.
I am delighted to add them both to the squad”
We’re delighted to have them both available for selection as we look to bounce back from our SHCFA Senior Cup exit to Handsworth last week.
