Cressy's Thoughts On Today's 3-2 Defeat Against 2nd Placed Liversedge FC
- 19/03/2022
What was your thoughts on today’s performance?
"I think it’s a positive performance from the lads, it stands in good stead for the upcoming fixtures. It was disappointing not to come away with anything, how far this group of lads have come, it’s a credit to themselves. Liversedge are a good side who do the ugly side really good and we have took them to the wire so on another day we could have took something from it. We’ll build on the performance through the week and take it to the end of the season, we really believe we can achieve what we need to."
There were a few changes in today’s side, how do you think the lads played?
"Greenhouse has come into the side today after making his debut off the bench on Tuesday, he’s not played at this level before or really any men’s football and today he’s proven that he can handle the pressure. I know what all the lads are capable of, I think today was a good opportunity to give some of the lads in the side some minutes and prove themselves that they can earn a place in the first 11. I trust every single one of them lads and throughout the rest of the season, they’ll be rotated around and I think they will put us in a good spot."
Sheffield today narrowly lost out 3-2 to 2nd placed Liversedge FC in what was a fierce encounter that at points could have gone either way, with our goals coming from Rory Coleman from the spot and Marc Newsham. We’ll be looking to take this result forward into a crucial week as we face a double header against relegation rivals Frickley Athletic.
