MATCH REPORT: SHEFFIELD FC VS LIVERSEDGE
- 30/03/2025

Sheffield FC were handed a 2-1 defeat at home to Liversedge in the league.
The tie got off to a poor start for The Club, who found themselves under the cosh and a goal down just minutes into the bout as Jack Crook let a shot off from distance that arrowed into the bottom left corner, with Mike Roxburgh unable to keep it out.
Liversedge continued threatening, and after several minutes of very little goalmouth action, they went close to doubling their advantage through Jack Crook, who, after a lovely swivel on the ball, work it onto his left foot to hit a half-volley, but his attempt was launched straight into the palms of the Sheffield shot-stopper.
They weren’t left ruing that prior missed opportunity though as they soon went two goals up on the 30 minute mark after Jack Dyche rifled an effort past Roxburgh, once again the ball nestling into that bottom right corner, sending the Liversedge fans into jubilation.
After going into the break two goals down, Sheffield had to show much more fight in the second stanza, and they came out with that extra bit of promise. The Club looked the more likely in the opening minutes, and after 60 minutes, cometh the hour, cometh the man as Luke Mangham got a goal back. The Sheffield striker received the ball from a cross on the left side of the box, and he made no mistake to hammer it past Liversedge goalkeeper Jamie Hassal.
Sheffield continued to push for an equaliser, having the majority of the ball, but were unable to cut out a chance, with Liversedge defending resiliently to claim all three points.
