The 21-year old has been on The Gaffer's radar for some while

The Club have completed the signing of Jack Watson on a one-year deal from Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Watson becomes The Club's first signing of the summer, following the retainment of all last seasons squad apart from Benni Ndlovu, as preparations for the 2024/25 Northern Premier League East season continue.

The 21-year-old’s move to The Home of Football comes on the back of a productive season at local rivals Stocksbridge Park Steels, for whom he scored eight times and across 34 games.

Hard-working and willing to cover the ground, Watson came through the Doncaster Rovers Academy, and has played for the likes of Rossington Main and Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Manager Ryan Cresswell said this on the Doncaster-born winger: "Jack is a player we've had our eye on for the last 12-months. His fast and direct style will suit us perfectly and I'm excited to see him in our famous red and black quarters."

Watsons’ contract will keep him at The Club for the 2024/25 season. He will join up with the lads on the first day of preseason.

Watson said on signing for The World's First Football Club: "I'm delighted to be a part of this great club, and I'm looking to start the season with a bang. With the new stadium on the horizon, I feel it's a great time for me to be joining Sheffield Club."
