We are delighted to announce that defender Bradley Beatson has joined Sheffield FC from Matlock Town. Bradley is a left sided defender who began his career at Sheffield Wednesday before a move followed to Gainsborough Trinity. Boston United paid a fee for his services but he went back to Gainsborough on loan, then moved to Stocksbridge Park Steels before joining Matlock in September.

Gavin Smith commented on Brad’s signing:

“I’m really happy to have signed Brad for The Club, I tried to sign him at the beginning of last season, but he chose to go elsewhere. He’s a tall, left-footed, centre half who can also play left back and is a great addition to our squad.”

Gavin is also delighted to announce that striker Karl Demidh has agreed to sign for The Club. “Karl is a massive signing for The Club, we had to fight off a lot of teams to get Karl to sign. He’s a proven goal scorer in this league and above. He’s got a great attitude and quality – he can hold the ball up, run in behind, he scores goals, wants to win trophies and is the sort of player we needed to be bringing to the Sheffield FC. Karl scored over 20 goals last season at Loughborough and I know he will score lots of goals for us if we provide him with the chances.”
