Ladies Tame Tigresses To Remain Undefeated In Four

08/04/2019

Sunday, 31 March, 2019 - 14:00 - FA WNL Northern Division

In an exact reverse of the score line when the two sides previously met in November, Sheffield FC Ladies registered a third win from their last four FA Women's National League matches thanks to a 4-2 victory at home to Hull City LFC.

Rhema Lord-Mears broke the deadlock just before the interval in an otherwise uneventful first half, but the match sprang into life after the break with Sheffield twice being pegged back by the visitors either side of Holly Housley's goal on 64 minutes.

>Sheffield then had the week's new signings to thank as goalkeeper Serena Clarke prevent City taking a 3-2 lead with a fine low save, before Sammy Conroy powered in Meg Tinsley's corner with a superb header.

>The hosts made sure Hull would not draw level a third time as Housley bagged a second from the penalty spot six minutes from time to secure a valuable three points in Sheffield's fight for survival this season.
