Celebrating football’s original values

Having retained its amateur status, Sheffield FC is enjoying playing football at the highest level of the grassroots game, in the Evo-Stik (NPL) League Division One South.

A level that has never been as strong in England with over two million fans nationwide taking part in competitive amateur football every week. The founding principles of ‘the beautiful game’ Integrity, Respect and Community are ingrained into our club. These principles have created a future that has never looked brighter; Sheffield FC established its own ground for the very first time back in 2001 and following a significant investment from a rapidly growing organisation our home is now called the Home of Football, at the Coach & Horses Ground.

The Home of Football hosts over 20 teams under the Sheffield FC banner, and although Sheffield FC is 'The World’s First Football Club', we are still firmly committed to being actively involved in the community and promoting the future development of the game. Sheffield FC encourages players and fans from all walks of life to come together and simply enjoy all that is good about the game of football.

The club are proud to include a very successful Ladies team, a Disability squad and hundreds of very enthusiastic boys and girls from 8 years old upwards, who represent the junior teams, not to mention the association we have with over 40 schools providing a range of coaching programmes to teach skills and values that Sheffield FC hope will stay with our future generations for the rest of their lives. This continued hard work by all involved at Sheffield FC has seen us bestowed with the prestigious National Charter Standard Adult Club of the Year Award 2007.
