The World’s First Football Club and Soccerex joined forces for a multi-year foundation partnership to protect and progress the heritage of football.
The partnership sees the leading B2B event provider for the global football industry pledge to support Sheffield FC in the foundation’s mission to protect football’s spiritual roots through:
1. Protecting and preserving Sheffield FC as a social community football club at amateur level, offside professionalism.
2. Re-building the original ground of Sheffield FC named Olive Grove, where #theworldsfirst was founded back in 1857, into the future 'Home of Football'.
3. Grow and promote grassroots football all around the world.
Soccerex will join the likes of one of Europe’s leading Sports Marketing Agencies, Jung von Matt/sports, in working to build the 'Home of Football'.
Sheffield FC Chairman Richard Tims states: “This is another fantastic move for The World’s First Football Club in protecting football’s true values. Soccerex is the one of the world's leading networks in football and we are proud to have their support and commitment in bringing football back home and to sharing one of the games' greatest stories with football's next generations.
