Ten in a Row

Sheffield FC's Over 35 side made it TEN league titles in a row on Wednesday evening, as they picked up the two points needed to win the Wragg League championship, with a 4-2 win at Handsworth Parramore's Olivers Mount ground.

Club's veterans, managed by Richard Goodison, secured the title with a game to spare - in a league format that remains "vintage" to the core, earning two points for a win and one for a draw - putting them beyond the reach of second placed Anston and third placed Swinton Athletic.

Yet again, winning the league title was not enough for the veteran Clubbies, as they made it a double once more having lifted the League's Sid Butterfield Memorial Trophy back in April with a win over Wickersley.

Well done. Maybe the new manager of the 1st team should sign them all up for next season!
