Ladies Come Back Twice To Earn Valuable Draw At Stoke

A hard fought 2-2 draw at Stoke City earned Sheffield FC Ladies a valuable point in their fight for survival this season.

An uneventful but competitive first half ended goalless, but the match sprung into life in the second with Stoke converting from the penalty spot, then Sheffield hitting straight back through Milly Wortley's clever flick off a corner.

The Potters took the lead once again midway through the second half when Ashleigh Hayes latched onto a ball over the top, but again, Sheffield dragged themselves back into the contest as Holly Housley made sure with another penalty.
