Hume New Man at Helm

Sheffield FC have appointed Mark Hume as their new First Team manager.

Mark has managed Matlock Town and has also been Assistant manager at Bradford Park Avenue for four and a half years, Mark helped guide Avenue Conference North via the NPL play offs in 2009/10.

Hume, who began as a professional with Doncaster Rovers, had a long and distinguished career as a no nonsense central defender . He was part of the Eastwood Town side who reached the third round of the FA Cup in 2008/09 and won the NPL Premier Division title in the same season. His other clubs include Alfreton Town, Barrow, Stalybridge Celtic, Buxton and Harrogate Town.

He will be joined as Assistant Manager by Scott Maxfield. 38 year old defender Scott started his career at Doncaster Rovers before spending three seasons at Hull City. Spells back at Doncaster, Barrow & Stalybridge ensued before Scott joined Buxton FC in 2008 spending five seasons with The Bucks, he left his player/manager role at Buxton and joined Bradford PA before spending this season with Handsworth Parramore.

We wish both all the best in their new roles at thr World's First.
