In the community

The Sheffield FC’s The World’s First Football Club Community Department grows from strength to strength, working in partnership with the two new   Parklife Football Hubs (St George’s Park (SGP) Sheffield Graves and Sheffield Thorncliffe).

Shaun Hird the Community Officer said:  "these state-of-the-art facilities are a massive boost to community football in Sheffield, with the 3G (all-weather pitches) perfect for year-round use as well as for developing talent and coaching young people in the city. Since October 2016 when the two Parklife Football Hubs opened The World’s First Football Club have been delivering several Football initiatives in partnership with the two Football hubs this started with our first Soccer Camp over October Half Term for boys and girls 5 to 13 years old at St George’s Park Graves. Over 160 children turned up over the week long camp run every day 9am to 3pm. When the camp finished we had parents enquire to see if we ran any week to week Soccer Coaching so in January we launched our two Soccer Academies at St George’s Park Graves on a Tuesday evening 4pm to 5pm and a Friday evening at St George’s Park Thorncliffe between 4pm to 6pm. We have just finished two February Half Term Soccer Camps at both facilities where over 330 children attending both Soccer Camps."

We are currently taking booking for our Easter Soccer Camp which is taking place at both facilities on Tuesday 10, Wednesday 11, Thursday 12, Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19, Thursday 20 April, 9am to 3pm cost is £12 per day or £30 for the three days each week.
