Sheffield United's Under 23 outfit ran out 1-0 winners at a rainy Home of Football on Tuesday evening, as Club's potential squad had another good testing run out in preparation for the 2017/18 season.

The deciding goal came in the 38th minute for the visitors, as Republic of Ireland Youth International Jordan Doherty rose to head home past Chris Butt, after an excellent cross from new signing Jean Belehouan.

In the second half Brett Souter impressed once again in the Club goal, pulling off three great saves, whilst the post also came to the home side's rescue.

In the last five minutes Sheffield could have nicked a late equaliser, as Marcus Dewhurst recovered to make a fine block, after gifting Club's Matt Morton a glorious opportunity following an awful clearance.
